Governance & status
Clarity is partof credibility.
A transparent account of the proposed group structure and the work needed to establish it.
Build an accountable
organisation.
The intended group model combines commercial accountability with research oversight.
A group board would oversee strategy and investment. Research leadership would be responsible for methods, integrity and appropriate review. Each operating business would remain accountable for its own work.
Group oversight
Strategy, capital allocation, risk, documented ownership and accurate public statements.
Research oversight
Named project leads, qualified advisers, research methods, data permissions, contributor rights and publication decisions.
Operating accountability
Clear service responsibilities, budgets, delivery standards and customer relationships within each business.
Current proposal status
What this site represents.
| Area | Current position |
|---|---|
| Parent group | Proposed structure. Legal ownership and control relationships require verification and formal agreement. |
| Institute name | Proposed institutional identity. Any required UK company or business-name approval must be established before public adoption. |
| Research programmes | Proposals in development. No claim of confirmed funding, appointed research teams or completed studies. |
| Academic status | No claim of university status, degree-awarding powers or recognised accreditation is made on this site. |
| External partnerships | Potential collaborations are exploratory. No London institution is represented as an existing SIT partner. |
Questions about the structure.
Is every SIT brand a separate subsidiary?
No verified legal group chart is being asserted here. A brand, internal division and incorporated subsidiary have different meanings. The final structure must reflect actual ownership and control.
Does the institute name establish academic recognition?
No. Company-name approval, education-provider permissions and degree-awarding powers are separate matters. Each relevant status must be established and accurately described.
How will research claims be supported?
Each published project should identify the research question, team, method, funding, outputs and limitations. Planned activity should remain visibly labelled until it begins.
How will research reach the businesses?
Through documented collaboration, supervised development and appropriate licensing or ownership agreements. Contributor, partner and funder rights must be respected.
